What Are Your Options for Fixing Teeth?
One of the best options for fixing teeth is braces. Adults may look into braces for cosmetic reasons, but there are some health benefits to keep in mind too. If you have misaligned teeth, you’re probably familiar with how difficult it can be to get some of these teeth cleaned properly.
When there are some teeth overlapping with others, plaque and tartar can go unchecked in those hard-to-reach areas. Patients with misaligned teeth may be facing a greater risk for eventual tooth loss and gum disease due to this. Misaligned teeth can also make it harder to place fillings and crowns, so some patients look into braces as a way to make oral maintenance and treatments simpler and more effective down the road.
Do you want some of the same corrections braces can offer but aren’t too excited about dealing with wires and brackets? Our team is happy to offer Invisalign as an alternative. These aligners are made of a smooth, clear, and comfortable plastic that slides right over your teeth.
They come in a series, so every two weeks or so you’ll move on to the next series and move closer to your dental goals. It’s highly customized, and the series follows a treatment we will plan out with you for the best possible results. These aligners can be popped in and out so you can eat what you want. They are an excellent, discreet treatment option.
If you’ve suffered tooth loss, dental implants replace the functionality of the missing roots. If you’re wondering why this is important, our teeth and their root systems play an important role in protecting the health and integrity of our jawbones. When adults lose one or more permanent teeth, they will usually begin to experience jawbone deterioration unless the function of the root is replaced.
Jaw deterioration can change the shape of the face over time, and put the patient’s other teeth at risk. A dental implant helps prevent or halt this process. By replacing the root, the implant mimics the stimulation the jawbone would be getting from a healthy tooth. These implants can then be paired with implant-supported dentures or with replacement teeth.
Implant Secured Dentures
Implant dentures combine the technology of dentures with implants to bring you the best of both worlds. They will be securely held in place so you won’t have to worry about adhesives.
The implants themselves are designed to last a lifetime, and dentures supported by implants should last longer too. That’s because the implants will be protecting your jaw from deterioration, so your dentures should be a comfortable fit for longer.
Full and Partial Dentures
Dentures aren’t always a “one size fits all” technology. We recognize that each patient has unique needs, and offer a range of denture options to reflect that reality. Whether you’re looking to replace a section of your smile or your full smile, our team can help find the right solution.
Crowns are used to cover teeth that can’t function properly. If a tooth has decayed or been damaged, we can prepare the tooth and fit it with a crown so your smile looks great and functions the way it should. Crowns can help protect teeth from further damage or can be used to improve the appearance of a patient’s teeth.
Crowns can be used with dental implants to completely replace missing teeth or can be used to support a dental bridge. Teeth that are fragile, fractured, discolored, or misshapen may all benefit from a crown placement.
Patients with a single missing tooth may opt for a dental bridge. This process will close the gap in your smile by having the teeth on either side of the gap hold a replacement tooth in place. A range of materials have been used for this process, but porcelain is one of the more popular options as it can blend right in with the rest of your teeth.
Sometimes all a patient wants is to brighten their smile, and we’re happy to help with that. Teeth whitening is a simple, easy way to improve confidence and feel great about the appearance of your teeth. It’s especially common for patients to seek out this process before a big event like a wedding.
Veneers are a permanent way to improve the appearance of your teeth. If you have stubborn tooth stains or a chip on your tooth that you want to cover, veneers can be a great option. They’re placed over the front of the teeth to improve your confidence.
They can be made of resin composite materials or porcelain. In either case, they will be carefully matched to the rest of your teeth for a seamless appearance.
Tooth Restoration Repairs
Tooth restorations can be a great way to approach fixing teeth. Unfortunately, at some point, patients may find themselves with a dental restorative that’s showing signs of wear and tear. We can help fix this restorative to improve both appearance and functionality.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canals are a way to save a natural tooth that needs some intervention. Our highly experienced staff can carry out this treatment in a gentle and effective manner. This treatment’s goal is also to prevent any reinfection, so you can enjoy peace of mind and comfort.
The first step is to remove the infected and inflamed pulp from the tooth so we can carefully and thoroughly clean the inside of the tooth. Once the inner tooth has been disinfected, we can fill and seal it.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
A full mouth reconstruction involves either rebuilding or replacing all of the teeth. There are many reasons why a patient may consider this treatment. For instance, the patient may have weak or damaged teeth that can’t function properly, or they may want to reverse the negative effects of periodontal disease.
Regardless of why you’re considering this treatment, we can pair reconstructive and aesthetic approaches to restore your smile.
Some treatments depend on your jawbone having enough material to support it. In some cases, patients may have a jawbone that has already begun to deteriorate, or has been damaged. These patients may want a dental implant, but need more jawbone material before that’s possible. We want to help as many patients as possible get the treatments they need. That’s where a bone graft comes in.
Bone grafting can correct height or width concerns and can be used to fill defects and voids throughout the area. It helps stabilize the jaw and can put a limit on bone recession after the patient has lost a tooth.
This bone graft involves harvesting material from the patient’s own body, usually from the chin or different sections of the lower jaw.
This bone graft uses either synthetic or cadaver bone to carry out the treatment.
Cow bone material can be used for this type of bone graft.
We may offer many different treatments, but our favorite approach is to protect your smile and maintain its health to make future treatments easier. We offer professional cleanings and can help you keep an eye out for any developing issues. The sooner any issues are noticed, the easier treatments tend to be.
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Some lucky patients have their wisdom teeth come in with no issues, but many patients find these third molars to be problematic. They can come in crooked and mess with the alignment of your other teeth, or could only partially erupt, making them difficult to keep clean.
Untreated wisdom teeth that have erupted improperly can damage other healthy teeth and can contribute to infection. Our team can take a look at your wisdom teeth and let you know if we think removing them is a good idea for your dental health.
This Isn’t All That We Offer
From sleep apnea to various other conditions, we pride ourselves in offering a comprehensive array of treatments from a relaxing, understanding, and professional environment. We know how nerve-wracking dental appointments can be, which is why we also offer sedation options for patients who would find that helpful.
